Got proper nauwty up there at times, they've got some big fellas on there side, they bombarded us and one ours had to don protective headgear, another had his teeth kicked in for his troubles. Being short of numbers we were always going to be up against it, some on the sidelines shouted run, run, run but these colours don't run, anyway we stood our ground and it was a stand off in the end. Apparently they are up for a another go at our place and will bring a fair few, but we will be waiting and should have big numbers this time, reckon we will turn em over good'n proper this time.

COYI!!!

Jfk,

What if he was employed and failed at 91 league clubs, does that mean that one club’s fans would be wrong if they called him a failed manager?

Moyes isn't a failed manager with us.He has done a decent job overall much better tha. Most dreamed of so give it a fucking rest.
Moyes has a job on he's hands and a cup run to him isn't a priority, unfortunately for us lot well have to live with it until we are in a better position than survival.

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Let's all calm the fuck down.
The first half today was shit but our priority is in staying up.todays second half performance was a bit better. Make no illusions of two things getting confused,we'd all love a good cup run but it's not a priority to the manager anymore.staying up is far more important and the manager knows it.
A few more league wins is the aim then once we are safe/safeish we can gamble on a cup run.
It's a small consolation to our great support today that made the effort but that's the way the modern game is nowadays
unfortunately that's why my passion ain't what it used to be.

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Most people are under no illusions about the root causes of our problems. It’s the 3 at the top, pure and simple. Apart from anything, they appointed Moyes, a failed manager prone to extremely negative football. Asking a failed manager prone to extremely negative football to do well in the Premier League with a lop-sided squad is ridiculous. That being said, it shouldn’t be beyond his wit to compete and put a League 1 team under the cosh.

If we had retained the ball, created pressure and chances but not won, then the reaction wouldn’t be the same as it is now. It would be bad because this is WHO, but it is the nature of the performance, a performance that is an accurate reflection of the manager’s philosophy and ability, that is the biggest annoyance today.

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Eerie not all, but his options were limited unless he gambled with Noble, Zabaleta, Carroll and Lanzini

We have a massive game next Saturday and have only one fit senior centre back and we play a system that requires three as once again our lop sided squad is crippled with injuries

No-one can blame Moyes for that

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
You're absolving him of any blame for that complete horror show against a 3rd tier team?

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I'm not really sure what some of you were expecting with the players that are currently available, we have one full back who at 32 isn't really up to three games in six days so Moyes thought best to protect him, similar I assume to Arnie, Lanzini & Noble

We play three at the back but now only have one of our original senior centre backs fit, we have a striker who has mental issues and won't play another who needs wrapping up in cotton wool and a third who is a poacher and not suited to how we play

Then as the icing on the cake we're left with two centre mids who lack any creativity whatsoever, yet if Moyes had played a team full of kids they may well have got destroyed as the last lot did at Forest and what happened to them

This isn't Moyes fault but the three idiots that sit in control of West Ham and until their mindset changes on player recruitment things won't change, let's not lose sight of that

Can't believe all this shit is still going on after 18 months or so.

As has already been said over and over again, kouyate, obiang and ayew are useless and need to be fucked off out the club for starters.

Exactly Pagey.

Some people seem to forget that we have always been shit and have been an embarrassment.

All the relegations, The Bond Scheme, treating Bobby Moore and Billy Bonds like shit, Terry Brown, Tevez and Mascharano paperwork, Icelandic consortium giving out ridiculous contracts to Upson, Lundberg and Lucas Neill and then going bust, selling off all our academy stars.

It doesn't get any easier but we have always been a joke.

Re: ⚽ Shrewsbury v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Why is Hernandez seemingly beyond criticism?

Yes, the service isn’t there but that still doesn’t excuse him not even being able to hold the ball up and keep possession. Or just jogging around as a token gesture to look like he’s trying when he’s not. He needs to stop flinging his arms up in the air like a sulky little pea prick too.

In truth, during the entire time I’ve been a fan the club has been a mess. There’s always something going on or we fuck something up somewhere. I think Stewart Robson said that it was something in the ‘West Ham DNA’ and he was spot on.

I agree that a culture change is needed. The problem is that our current crop of blockers and cloggers are able to survive year on year in the prem when in ultra defensive mode. Which as we know is the owners primary concern. In order to challenge the better sides and play more expansive football major changes are needed that would mean losing this security blanket.

Just got back. That was utterly pathetic, hard to tell who was the League One team. Hoofing it all fucking game, no wonder Hernandez is getting the arse, what the fuck is he supposed to do?

Moyes got exactly what he deserved with a replay that he really didn’t want. Shrewsbury can count themselves very unlucky not to have won that.
